About Gang Chu
Gang Chu is a Managing Director at CICC. Prior to joining CICC, he was a Managing Director and a Senior Portfolio Manager for Citigroup Alternative Investments, where he managed a $2 billion capital municipal arbitrage fund. Gang Chu joined Citibank in 1993, where he held several positions including Risk Manager and Risk Analyst. From 1997 to 1999, he was Head Trader of Emerging Market Derivatives desk. From 1999 to 2002, he traded a $6 billion tax-exempt municipal portfolio at the Municipal Arbitrage desk at Citigroup Global Markets. He joined Citigroup Alternative Investments in May 2002, where he served as Senior Portfolio Manager for municipal arbitrage fund. Mr. Chu is a Phi Kappa Phi graduate with a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. He earned a B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
