Qihoo 360 Receives 2014 CCTV China Brand of the Year

"2014 China Central Television (CCTV) China Brand of the Year" award was held recently at Peking University. The award covers 31 corporate brands including Qihoo 360, TCL, Haier, Gree, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Baosteel, along with 3 city brands including Wuyuan.
"CCTV China Brand of the Year" award is another prestigious honor subsequent to Chinese Economic Figures of the Year. The event is organized by CNTV and sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and China Consumer's Association. Its purpose is to award leading enterprises that excel in brand image and in the international market.
"It's China's leading internet security service company. It pioneered a model that brings benefits and security to 300 million netizens for free. It's name will leave an indelible mark in the year 2010 for promoting Chinese online development. It is 360 Safe Guard." remarked the award's panel of judges.
The panel said that during 2010, Qihoo360 focused on providing a high-quality free service, and released a number of invaluable tools such as 360 Safe Browser, 360 E-Commerce Guard, traffic monitoring etc.. It also raised netizens' awareness on privacy, helping them to make better and smatter choices online.

The "CCTV China Brand of the Year" award selected product brands, corporate brands and city brands that created new value and experience for consumers in the technology, management, culture, marketing, and service industries. Those brands also helped to promote industry improvements and development and boosted the Chinese economy. The awarding ceremony will be broadcast on CCTV's financial channel on January 30th.
