Don't for a moment think this book is a handbook for managers doing capital budgeting. The book is a bunch of essays from third rate academics that just rehash standard finance theory. Very basis elaborations, like taking several pages to show in equations that synergy is a+b>c. There is nothing novel and there is not one single professor that has actually interviewed managers involved in capital budgeting. Get hold of a basic textbook, then use your brain.
