TheGlobal Private Banking and Wealth Management Survey 2009 was completedby 238 companies in 40 countries and gives a fascinating insight intothe themes and trends impacting the world of wealth management as wellas practical suggestions for actions wealth managers should be taking.
  
Reflectingthe different aspects of a wealth management business, our survey issplit into six underlying sections covering: performance, clientservice, products and services, talent, operations and technology andrisk management.
  
In our view, there are three underlyingthemes that will define the future of the private banking and wealthmanagement industries:

• The emergence of "Nouveau Classic" banking;
• Adaptation of business models, specifically the drive for process efficiency and improved service; and
• Increasing political, fiscal and regulatory pressures.
