These days, US textbooks publisher to prevent from resale of cheaper version overseas so they issue so-called global or international edition which generally speaking is the previous edition of current edition in US. Therefore, in this case, for someone sells the Introduction to Econometrics, Stock and Watson, 4th global edition which is actually the third edition in US. The latest edition in US has one extra chapter which is chapter 14 and it covers "Prediction with Many Regressors and Big Data". But the 4th global edition has no extra chapter and numbers of chapters are exactly same as 3rd edition in US. But the publisher did rearrange the page numbers so you may think 4th global edition is same as the 4th edition is US, but they are not. I've checked three different editions, 3rd, 4th and 4th global edition. If you do have the 3rd edition, do not bother buying this 4th global edition. They are virtually the same. I hope this will alleviate the anxiety for people, including me, could not afford to buy the 4th global edition. Cheers!!
