I was talking with a colleague the other day. He was marveling that a mutual friend had published his first book.
那天和一个同事聊天的时候，他感叹说我们的一个朋友都已经出书了。
He was happy for our friend and said that he would love to publish a book himself someday, but finished with, “I could never do that…”
他为我们的那个朋友感到高兴，他说他也想要出一本书的，但最后说道“我肯定不行…”
To his shock, I told him he was right… he couldn’t do that.
出乎他的意外，我说他是对的，他肯定不行。
He got a little indignant and shot back, “Why not?”
他有点生气的回答道：“为什么？”
I said, “Because you just told me so.”
我说：“因为你是那样对我说的。”

What are you telling yourself you can’t do?
有哪些事情是你对自己说过自己做不到的？
It’s up to you, either you think you can or you think you can’t.
完全是取决于你自己，你可以认为你做得到，也可以认为自己做不到。

Either way, you are defining your own reality.If you tell yourself that “you can’t” enough times, you start to believe it.You set your own limits, real or not.
不管你选的是那种，那都决定了你的现实生活。如果你对自己说了很多次“你做不到”，你就开始相信了。不管真与否，你自己给自己限定了。
You are also shaping others’ perception of you and your abilities. If you tell people you aren’t ready or can’t accomplish something, they will believe you. In many respects, you define how others view you.
对于自己和自己的能力，你也会改变别人对你的看法。要是你对别人说你还没准备好或是你做不到，别人都会相信你。很多方面都是这样，你定义了别人对你的看法。

It is life-altering when you start saying… you can.
当你开始说“你可以做到的”时候，生活就开始改变了。
Stop self-limiting talk of what you can’t accomplish.
不要自己说你做不到的事。
Soon, you will start believing you can and that can make all the difference.
之后，你也会认为你可以做到，那样事情就会有很大的差别。
