Postdoc in Entrepreneurship, Lund University School of Economics and Management
The Entrepreneurship foundation in Lund announces a three-year postdoc stipend within entrepreneurship at the Department of Business Administration, Lund University School of Economics and Management.
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher in entrepreneurship studies, with a deep interest and specialization in academic and university-based entrepreneurship. The candidate should also be familiar with qualitative research methods.
The postdoctoral candidate will work within the research project "The role and impact of entrepreneurship graduates in the Lund University entrepreneurial ecosystem", coordinated by Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, Department of Business Administration, Lund University.
The research project will be based in the subject area entrepreneurship. The aim of the project is to contribute to the development of theoretical and empirical knowledge about the role and impact of entrepreneurship graduates in entrepreneurial university-based ecosystems. The project's research activities are aimed at exploring why and how entrepreneurship graduates engage in enterprising and innovation activities in and around the university, as well as analyzing what impact these engagements have on the surrounding entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship (SKJCE) is an active and internationally recognized arena for high-class entrepreneurship education and research. SKJCE conducts research in areas such as entrepreneurial learning and education, academic entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, social entrepreneurship, and immigrant entrepreneurship.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS
This is a career development position primarily focused on research, intended as an initial step towards taking on a professorship in the future. The assessment of the applicants will primarily be based on their research qualifications and potential as researchers. The main assessment criteria are as follows:
- A completed PhD within the subject of the position or a related topic, completed no more than three years before the last date for applications. Under special circumstances, the doctoral degree may have been completed earlier.
- A good ability to develop and conduct high quality research
- Documented experience of publishing entrepreneurship research in academic journals
- Good skills in conducting qualitative research
- Strong English language skills (verbal and written)
Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, enthusiasm for research, ability to conduct research independently, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, and how they stand to contribute to its future development.
TERMS OF THE POST-DOC SCHOLARSHIP
The post-doc is a full-time scholarship for 3 years. The stipend includes SEK 350.000 per year, and covers the cost of living (SEK 335.000, and insurance (SEK 15.000 SEK). The stipend-holder will be placed at Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, Department of Business Administration, Lund University.
