Executive Director, Systematic Proprietary Trading, Global Investment Bank, Tokyo $650K-$1MM++Our client, a Global Investment Bank would like to appoint an experienced quantitative trader for its systematic proprietary trading group. This is a global prop group with team members in London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
This is a cross-asset group focused on researching, developing and trading purely systematic strategies across the American, LatAM, European and Asian markets. This is a collegiate group and enjoys a world class trading and research infrastructure.
Organizationally, the group enjoys a relatively flat and un beauractric structure not normally associated with a prop business within an Investment Bank. This role and group is best suited to an individual who is happy to work in a team environment and who on balance values the benefits over the drawbacks of a diversified team oriented trading operation.
As a senior member of the Tokyo based team, you will work on researching, developing and deploying high frequency systematic trading strategies for the Asian markets. Specifically, focused on the cash equities and futures domain. The opportunity for growth are numerous as the Tokyo group is still in its infancy as compared to the team’s other trading centers. There is a strong desire and commitment to further build the Tokyo effort that provides plenty of room and flexibility for the right individual. Additional growth opportunities further down the road may also include senior management opportunities in Asia, Europe and the Americas. The group is constantly growing and has a strong track record of creating exciting global opportunities for its team members.
Requirements
• PhD and or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Ideally 5+ years experience in successfully researching, developing and trading high frequency systematic trading strategies.
• Deep experience in the Asian cash equity and futures markets is highly desirable.
• Hands on technology skills.
• Collegiate team player
