| CONTEXT: Within the new tech center of a famous foreign automaker OEM, you will be involved in different new powertrain projects from high-tech gasoline one to hybrid one. You will have many opportunities to learn, to demonstrate your worth and to evolve. JOB PURPOSE: The Powertrain CAD Engineer current position would focus mainly on cylinderblock and cylinderhead components design according to engine functional performances, process and environment constraints. RESPONSIBILITIES: Main activities • In charge of cylinderhead and cylinderblock design • Definition of the functional volume needed for the parts (to achieve engine requirements and fit in the engine / vehicle space available) • Create 3D / 2D functional models of the parts • Create 2D detailed drawing (including GD&T – geomertic dimensioning and tolerancing) • Store the parts in the data base system • Work with teams in France and DPCA for technical expertise on machining / process / design Deliverables • Functional 3D / 2D CAD • Detailed 2D CAD • Component implantation study (check on proximities and packaging) | |||||||||
| CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Skills: CAD, industrial design 2D drawing, cylinderhead design and/or cylinder block design, Catia V5 or Pro Engineer, GD&T, dimension chain ▪ Bechelor degree or above in Mechanical engineering, notable Engineer University by preference ▪ 0-2 years of professional experience cylinderhead design or/and cylinderblock design in engine industry R&D ▪ Very good experience on technical drawings ▪ Ability to speak and lead a meeting in English and write reports in English, ▪ Very good knowledge of CAD tool Catia V5 (or equivalent such as Pro Engineer) ▪ Very good knowledge of process / machining constraints ▪ Able to carry out complexe dimensions chains to minimize cost / machining impact ▪ Ability to speak and lead a meeting in English and write reports in English ▪ French knowledge is a plus | |||||||||
