the sixth international conference on matrix-analytic methods will be held in Beijing, P.R. China, in 2008. The conference is organized by the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dalhousie University, Canada. Scope of the Conference The conference will provide an international forum for: • presenting recent results on theory, algorithms and applications concerning matrix-analytic methods in stochastic models in, but not limited to, telecommunications, operations research, management science, industrial engineering, computer engineering, bio-statistics, and finance and risk analysis; • reviewing and discussing methodologies and the related algorithmic analysis; • improving collaborations among researchers in applied probability, operations research, engineering, and numerical analysis; • identifying directions of future research. |
