- An ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record, academic and/or industry experience infields related to machine learning and financial fraud, particularly in theaudit industry.
- Deep knowledge of statistical and machine learning approachesand problem domains.
- Computer Science or other relevant degree with strong coding ability.
- Proven success with multiple ML/AI/classification projects(research papers, open source implementations, etc.).
- Expertise in one or more specific areas of research: neuralnets/deep learning, ensemble learning and system identification.
- Talent for and enjoyment of clever algorithm design.
- AI background and interest.
- Not afraid to dig into and operate on a complex software system.
- Research-minded, ability to run experiments independently andpresent results to leadership.
- Solid communication skills.
- Skills & requirements:
- Machine Learning (expert).
- Python (expert).
- Deep Learning (expert).
- Ensemble Modeling/Classification (proficient).
- Data Structures and Algorithms (familiar).
- Understanding of applied mathematics, computational science,computational statistics, approximation theory, representation learning, and/orpattern recognition.
- Full Development lifecycle experience.
- Probability and probabilistic reasoning.
- Basic qualifications:
- PhD or MS in Computer Science, Statistics,Optimization or related area.
- 3+ years of industry experience in machinelearning and/or natural language processing.
- Experience in designing, validating andtesting and iterating complex learning models.
- Proficiency in Python, R, Matlab/Octave.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Amazon ML and NLP tools.
- Record of scientific publications in ML, NLP,statistics, optimization or related area.
- Experience with third-party ML and NLPlibraries/packages.
