如果我们把no去掉

肯定是"他的兄弟比他聪明"

加上no之后的意思

到底要如何理解呢？

no wiser than he

按照字面理解为不比他更聪明 也就是和他差不多聪明

但是如果这样理解

应该这样翻译:

His brother is not wiser than he.

而原句用的是no

no wiser说的是wiser的反义词

His brother is no wiser than he.

他弟弟和他一样笨。

这句话也可以写成

His brother is none the wiser than he.

表示强调
