“剃度出家”用英文怎么说？
之前林黛玉的扮演者陈晓旭抛弃亿万家产，剃度出家的一则新闻中，提到了“剃度出家”的英文说法。
CRI相关报道：Former Chinese actress and business celebrity Chen Xiaoxu has taken the tonsure at a Buddhist temple in Changchun, capital of Jilin province in northeast China, her husband told a newspaper Sunday.
从中可以看出，短语“take the tonsure”便指的是“剃度出家，削发为僧/尼”。

“Tonsure”源于中世纪，指神甫或和尚在入门仪式上剃光头发或剃掉一部分头发。

去理发店剪头的话，可以说成：

注意，这里要用到英语中的被动式。
如果你说"cut my hair"，确实也可以表示剪头发，不过这个主要强调“自己动手自己剪头发”。
例句：
I would like a change, maybe have my hair cut short.
我想做一番改变，或许把头发剪短。
I must get my hair cut.
我得理发了。

去理发店你要找的“Tony老师”，并不是真的叫Tony。
大家都知道这是一个玩梗的说法，实际上“理发师”是有对应的称呼的。
男生剪头的话，应该叫"barber"；而女生剪头发则要找"hairdresser".
Barber是指专门为男士剪头，梳洗，造型还有剃须的人。
Hairdresser是指专门为别人剪头发和保持个人形象的人。

"bad hair day"是什么意思呢？
“头发糟糕的一天？”
直译是这样没错，其实这个短语的意思是“不如意的一天，糟糕的一天”。
试想，顶着一头乱七八糟的头发，这一天心情都不会好吧。
例句：
Or how many of you guys have been embarrassed just by a bad hair day?或者，在座有多少人曾经因为发型很糟的一天而感到难堪？
