hen party
"hen"是“母鸡”，"party"是“聚会”，但"hen party"可不是“母鸡聚会”！
hen party 是指“婚前派对；女人的聚会”。
它的英文释义是：
a party that a woman has with her female friends just before she gets married
hen 除了母鸡，还可以表示“女性”，相当于 female.
这个聚会多是为准新娘准备的，到场的只有准新娘和她的女性朋友。
婚前派对也就是婚前的狂欢夜，所以我们也可以说 hen night、hen day。
例句：
My wife had a hen party at our house yesterday, so I escaped to the movies.
昨天我太太在我们家里举行女生晚会，所以我就溜出去看电影。
I'll be home tonight to take care of the kids because Mary has a hen party with the women she went to college with.

而男人的婚前派对；男人的聚会，则可以说：Stag night
Stag 原意是雄鹿，也有单身派对的意思。Stag本身又作动词，表示“参加单身派对”。
当然，作为一种“恶搞”仪式，可以是婚前一夜，也可以是一个周末，所以也有stag party，stag weekend，或者合起来说hen and stag night……

因为 fruit 有成果的含义，所以 hen fruit 则是指代我们常吃的鸡蛋，也就是 egg.
