最近出了2011B版本。从Release Notes来看，多是一些小修小补，没有特别大的变化。对于初学者而言，几乎就可以忽略。下面的更新highlights来自Mathworks网站。

启动更快了——估计像realplayer那样一开机就将部分程序驻留内存。这可不是一个好消息。

对于不熟悉xlsread（）的童鞋是个好消息。具体怎么启动？在Matlab的Current Folder里面双击一个xls文件就行了。
Readability and navigation improvements to warning and error messages in the MATLAB command window
增强了警告和错误提示信息的可读性。对于新手是个好消息。但是没有太大的用处。
Automatic variable and function renaming in the MATLAB Editor
在M-Editor里面，如果你修改一个变量名，它会提示你是否将所有同一个变量名都修改好。比较方便，但是并非不可或缺的用途（因为用编辑器的替换功能也可做到）

如果你处理的数据很大很大，那么这个最好看看。当然，实际用途来说，如果你的windows和matlab有一个是32位的，那么你就不用看了，因为你能处理的数据不会太大。
