question:

1.What percentage of variability in EdCollege is explained by its linear
regression on SmokeEveryday?

Is that -0.636????   

I don't understand what does this question mean ??

2.Which is the dependent variable and which is the independent variable?

Dependent: Edcoloege
Independent: Smokeeveryday

3.Comment on whether the choice of dependent and independent variables is
appropriate

because 0.636 is kind of large, so it is OK.

if generalisation is in mind, adj r-sq is to be reported: 39.2%
