It is a good regulation, and I hope it can be implemented well in practice.

Rules are rules. I don't mean they don't work out. Yeah, I feel happy when I hear the news that I have the chance to extend my maternity leave for another 8 days, and the number is very auspicious.

But for some reasons, for example, those already have or want to have more than one babies, most of them are rural women who have no maternity leaves or those rich ones who need not to work outside or even herself is the chairwomen of a company, where she has the right to choose work or not to work.
And occasionally, when a woman is desperately looking for a job, how she wishes to have the right to do the dangerous jobs! Of course, maybe there will be many enterprises neglect the rules and employ them. I just suspect.
After all, to be procted is a placebo. I like it.

It's really a progress

Of course this is a good news to all working women and their husbands as well. It is also a good sign to show that government are paying  more attention on protecting Human Rights.
China already have many laws and regulation.Then the most important thing is to make sure the regulations would be implemented strictly. Any enterprises who violent the law would be punished timely and seriously. China already have many laws and regulations. Otherwise  there is no any use and meaning to issue any new regulations.

it's more human-oriented, but who care about our male workers?

I agree with the viewpoint that male workers should also enjoy longer maternity leave, because father play an eaully important role in bringing up the baby.
