stata问题告急！！！！

大家好，我今天做了一个logit的回归，因变量是1975年美国已婚妇女劳动参与的哑变量（1是参与，0不参与），其中有一个解释变量是城镇居民的失业率（系数为-0.069，P值是0.805），但是通不过显著性检验，但是从经验看来失业率对妇女劳动参与率的影响肯定是有的。请问从现实角度应该如何解释？同样有一个解释变量代表居住城市（1居住在此城市，0不是住在此城市），也通不过显著性检验，如何解释？（自变量有：小于6岁孩子的数量，妇女的年龄，教育水平，丈夫的工作时间，丈夫的小时工资，税率，失业率，居住城市），有知道的请指点，谢谢各位了

There are no simple answers to your  question since you did not post your full logistic regression. Here are several things to check:

1)Have you run a univariate analysis before the logistic regression
2)how many variables are finally in your model
3)how about the missing values of each variable
4)any multicolliniarity problems
5)any possible interactions between the variables?

Just based on your results, it seems nothing specially wrong. You could have a quick check of the interactions between education and umemployment, or between education and city, or between city and unemployment. If there are interactions, that may be the reasons. Otherwise you have to accept the results for your population.
