I think it's always so important to grasp the structure (or logic) of the writer in reading. And the details comes second.
I guess the routine of any economic growth is similar with what the article stated except the fact that today technology plays a much more significant role in development. For China, it can always learn something from that ( and also change according to its own condition ), stimulating trading and encourage technological innovation, for example. What's more important, expanding China's financial market ( especially the derivatives market ) must be of much help in activating trading to prosper economy.
