我们通常的认知是: StataMP可是实施并行运算, 并因此获得比StataSE更快的运行速度, 不幸地是, 目前坛内多数可以永久使用的Stata12 版本都是SE 版的. 那么有没有什么方法能够让SE版的stata也实施并行运算呢?
答案是: 有, 它就是parallel module——Stata module for Parallelcomputing (最低版本要求stata v10)

在命令窗口输入:
. net describe parallel

即可在结果窗口查看英文介绍, 并有安装提示和相应的说明性pdf文件下载提示

      'PARALLEL': module for Parallel Computing

DESCRIPTION/AUTHOR(S)
      
         Inspired in the R library "snow" and to be used in multicore
      CPUs, parallel implements parallel computing methods through an
      OS's shell scripting (using Stata in batch mode) to accelerate
      computations. By splitting the dataset into a determined number
      of clusters this module repeats a task simultaneously over the
      data-clusters, allowing to increase efficiency between two and
      five times, or more depending on the number of cores of the CPU.
      Without the need of StataMP, parallel is, to the author's
      knowledge, the first user contributed Stata module to implement
      parallel computing.

奇怪，我刚才试验了，跟你出现了同一种结果。
我又输入：findit parallel，在弹出的窗口找到了parallel 模块的地址，你在命令窗口输入如下命令试试看(整段复制过去,包括括号内的网址)：
. net describe parallel, from(http://fmwww.bc.edu/RePEc/bocode/p)

可靠吗？最主要的是可靠性啊！

并不可靠。多个线程同时对一个数量进行操作，和单线程估计结果存在显著差异，你可以试试看
