工作描述
The School ofLaw will be appointing three PhD researchers to engage in research on theexercise of extraterritorial jurisdiction to protect global valuesin theenvironmental and socio-economic field. The project examines whether thetraditional international legal framework of jurisdiction (which emphasizesterritorial or personal links to the regulating entity) can accommodate recentregulatory developments in the field of extraterritorial jurisdiction, orwhether, instead, a novel ‘global values’-based principle of jurisdiction iscrystallizing.  The project will study regulation in respect of threetopics: (1) climate change,  (2) protection of marine resources,and  (3) foreign corrupt practices. The project is funded by theDutch Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) and is headed by Dr. CedricRyngaert.
