<JUST AN OKAY MOVIE>

I watched Pacific Rim (PR) 3 weeks ago with couple of friends at AMC. Not a lot of seats left when we got there, so we had to be separated and couldn't have seats in decent and comfort areas. You could say popularity is a good indication, but I am not that into it.

The fight scene is quite a mess. Even the huge monsters and robots move relatively slowly, we still had a hard time figuring out exact what was going on. Also, several elements were plagiarized from EVA, say driving huge robot by human being, fight against monsters that can wipe out a city in hours, male commander has a special relationship with female driver... Probably most importantly, heroine, a Japanese actress, is a little disappointing. If 10 is perfect, she can get 5-6 at most.

Hope this is not a spoiler.

I have not known about it, sorry. By the way, is it good to discuss this kind of topic ON RENDA forum?

Maybe, we can talk about some academic things ,such as writing research paper, doing academic research, application for PHD overseas.......

To be honest, I have never watched such film, hope sometime I can have a look.

It is tremendously a good idea to talk about everything, including moive, in English. After all, we are surrounded by the non-English enviornment, which hinders most of us to practise the launguage and consequently many of English language devotees gradually lost their initial interests and fail to build sufficient confidence to overcome the barrier encountered by them. Therefore, I strongly agree that the way for discussion with English, from ordinarily life trobules to academic issues etc, will surely gain support from a large portion of us.

It is a great movie,I like it very much ,I like the  perfect speciing effects and the robots are cool,but the red robot which made in China just appeared one secend and was destroyed at once ,this case made me disappointed. in overall terms,the PACIFIC RIM is fantastic.

i donot think it tastes well.
