康奈尔大学洪永淼教授计量经济学访谈

想请教洪老师一个问题

我们在国内看或者讨论国外的working paper的时候，特别是实证方面的，我都发现好一点的paper都会在reduced model前面有一个简单的理论推导，国内的研究还基本是直接应用reduced model，并没有指出变量的理论根据。我的问题是：

1，reduced model和structural model之间到底是什么关系？

2，国内未来的发展趋势是否也是逐渐的需要在实证前面进行理论推导，以正面变量的合理性？

ps：版主，我不知道是否可以这样直接留言

1。Structural model 有其经济理论基础，比较容易理解其经济含义，a reduce form model大多需要通过一系列推导才可理解其经济含义。但是这并不意味structural model 对数据有更高的解释或预测能力。

2。不一定要理论推导，但是在实证之前要解释变量与模型选择的合理性，以及经济学含义。当然，如果计量模型能够从经济理论推导出来那是最好的。

关于第一个问题， 第9楼已经谈到问题，另外也可参看我对其他网友的问答。

第二个问题，计量经济学理论有很多数学公式，对英文的要求并不太高。但是需要看外文期刊，以了解最新前沿发展，因此英文很重要 。不过即使现在英文较差，只要能养成阅读英文文献的习惯，英文水平也就可以提高。我个人就是这样。
