　　　　　【文摘】:Bob Rigeon won worldwide renown for his association with the Cambridge Pig Recording Scheme. He retired in 1993 and the Scheme was terminated at the time of his retirement, to be succeeded by a new Pig Survey which will be run by MAFF less frequentlybut on a national basis. Just prior to his retirement, Bob was persuaded to put together this historical review of the economics of UK pig production from 1946 to 1991 based on the Cambridge Survey results over the period.
