[size=1.2em]Michael Gill wrote an account of a change in his own career in his sixties. Having worked at one of the world's largest advertising firms J. Walter Thompson for 25 years and having climbed up to the position of creative director, he was suddenly fired. He lost everything and at the same time, he had a problem with his marriage and his health. He had no one to rely on and he struggled to survive.
[size=1.2em]By accident, he got a job at Starbucks and that changed not only his career but his life. He re-evaluated life values and reset priorities. He learnt life lessons and developed inspiring friendships. Starbucks and the people there "turned traditional corporate hierarchy upside down". Michael Gill discovered team spirit and interpersonal relationship -- something his job in the past could not give him.
[size=1.2em]As a barista at Starbucks, his title and salary cannot be compared with those in his last job. Yet, he has experienced real happiness he has never had before, and that is the most important.
