有两道简单的练习题：
(a) the 30th and 60th percentiles forN(10,17^2).
(b) the 0.10 and 0.90 quantile forN(25,32^2).


用R来做的如下：
(a)
>   pnorm( 0.3,10,17 )
[1] 0.2841394
>   pnorm( 0.6,10,17 )
[1] 0.2901518

(b)
>  qnorm( 0.1,25,32 )
[1] -16.00965
>  qnorm( 0.9,25,32 )
[1] 66.00965


请问，上面的R code对不对？

好像有点不好理解，其均值=10，60%的perentile 为0.29，对吗？
我的理解哪里错了？

pnorm(x0,m,sd)求的是从负无穷到x0的积分，比如用你的例子，pnorm(10,10,17)=0.5。

请注意，“In general, percentiles and quartiles are specific types of quantiles” ( 参见https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percentile)。所以计算percentiles和quantile都使用同一类R函数qnorm().

It seems to me qnorm is the only command needed OR quantile(rnorm(100), c(0.1, 0.3, 0.6, 0.90)).
