Conference Scope And Theme
Variety, Integration and POM
As the global economy continues to be turbulent, production and operations managers in all organizations are facing more challenges -- shorter product life, more intensive competition, rapider response, increased product variety, and faster information flows. As a result, the interaction of operations with other functional areas such as R&D, engineering, marketing, finance, accounting, personnel, strategy, and information systems have become increasingly important. The production and operation management has also been applied to many other areas, such as healthcare systems, humanitarian supply chains, and natural resources management. The theme of the meeting, Variety, Integration and POM, recognizes such a trend. In addition, this is the first attempt that the conference is co-organized by two universities (one from Hong Kong and one from mainland). The Sixth POMS-HK International Conference will provide a forum for practitioners and academics to share their research, experience, and insights on thematic areas as well as traditional POM problems.

Abstract should include a title, the names and affiliations of all authors (please indicate the presenting author), and 3-5 keywords. Please also select at least one topic from the list on the Call for Paper webpage. The length of the abstract should be no more than 100 words.
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed. Accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website only if the presenting author has registered for the conference by the Presenting Author Registration deadline (which is December 10, 2014).
Abstract should be submitted by email to pomshk2015@mail.sysu.edu.cn with subject “POMS HK 2015 Abstract Submission”.

Registration Methods
We provide two methods for registration. Please register using one of the following two ways.
- On-line registration: Please complete the registration form (download the registration form) and return it to pomshk2015@ln.edu.hk (notice that we have a dedicated email account to handle registration and invitation letter, which is different from the other email account for handling other issues).
- On-site registration: You can also register on site during 8am to 5pm on January 3 and 4.Please notice that on-site payment must be made in cash.
Invitation Letter
We will be pleased to provide attendees with an invitation letter. Please email the request with subject “Request for invitation letter for POMS HK 2015” to pomshk2015@ln.edu.hk along with your title, name, and institution.
