Learning is more effective when you become involved in solving real world problems. Learning is about ‘what’ and ‘ how’ we learn, rather than ‘how much’ we remember.

Very often we obtain vast amounts of knowledge and but fail to truly understand what it means. The quality of your understanding is closely related to the quality of your engagement with learning tasks and your collaboration with others.

An instructional method that challenges students to "learn to learn," working cooperatively in groups to seek solutions to real world problems.

PBL has been used extensively in many well-established universities such as University of Delaware, Universiteit Maastricht, University of Newcastle, University of Queensland, Monash University and the National University of Singapore. Our own research and studies of these practices have shown PBL to be effective in helping students to be resourceful and self-critical thinkers and team players.

我认为上课是这样的啦，好多思考学生应在课下进行，如果上课都去争论，那进度肯定完不成的。

欧美教育认为，当老师讲得非常完整、完美、无懈可击时，就把学生探索的过程取代了，而取代了探索的过程，就无异于取消了学习能力的获得。

我认为说对了一半；真实情况是，学生探索的过程没有了，老师也讲的不完整，不完美；

悲哀阿

那是我们学生水平高。

中国要变教育，有相当广泛的现状要变，有相当艰巨的路程要走。 我从小所参与的公开课好像也都是这样。

最重要的是培养学生对科学或者其他一些研究的兴趣，所有的提问都是随之而来的，你不会对一个你不感兴趣的东西提问（除了我什么时候可以结束这堂该死的课？）。中国的教育体制之所以这样也不是完全没有道理，在一个应试教育的情况下，只有这样填鸭式的方法最能让学生考上大学。这是东西方的价值观念使然。日本也一样，应试教育。在东方人们更关注的是金钱和地位，相对西方缺少人文关怀和独立思考精神。
