The first time I knew there was a different language, called English, was my 3 years old when I started to study in a kindergarten. But the first time I began to take English as a course and started to be interested in speaking English was my 5th grade in elementary school. Actually, I prefer speaking and reading in English to writing in English, i.e., listening and reading allows me to get something that is new and attractive for me and speaking in English is more convenient and dynamic that I can not only be free to speaking both formally and informally but also be able to exchange ideas and topics when I communicate with others. Writing always make me feel that I am speaking lonely without any response, whilst writing seems it needs a lot of topics and comments to make up an essay with over 500 words. Therefore, I think that Business Writing is a big challenge for me.
Having been practicing for writing for almost 9 years, I find that I do better in grammar. When I am writing, I would like to focus on the using of grammar in sentences because I think correct sentences will make it easier for readers to understand and admire you. Sometimes, if the time permits, I would like to check the whole article and do some modification to errors and mistakes that this action can not only impress me what I have written on a macro-level but also promise me to notice and correct the details. Also, I like to use some new words that I just learnt or sometimes I would imitate to write a sentence that I just read somewhere and I did admire the original sentence. I love to accept new things and I hope to reflect these new knowledge in my writing or speaking.
At the very beginning, I thought the Business Writing would a so boring and stiff. However, When I received the questionnaire, I saw the course more professional and it showed that I would learnt a lot in this class. In the first course, I saw a beautiful lady as my teacher and got known quantities of classmates. In the class, the atmosphere is friendly and active that everyone can gave out a thought and learnt something that is specially new. Then I knew the course was absolutely interesting and educatable and I am ready to learn the class well.
For this course, I hope to learn some daily items like resume, Business e-mail, and particularly the way to write a reply to refuse some invitation politely. Also, some official Business writing will make us behavior better in our future work.
