First of all, I am merely an amateur, not professional for it.
I just make judgement from reverse side in the light of personal experience.
For instance,let us see two products in utility that can satisfy similar desires, Hamburger and sandwich.
they have little difference so that an increase in the price of on easily leads to be substitued by others. Therefore, substitute make its price elasticity of the demand high.
