现在，随着社交媒体的兴起，零售企业有必要也有可能从微博、博客、论坛等社交媒体上了解与企业和经营相关的信息。以前，企业的IT架构不具备处理海量社交媒体数据的能力，但是现在，实时、快速地处理大量的非结构化数据已经成了一种常态。

只要有足够多的数据可以处理———不管是你的iPhone上的数据、杂货店购物状况、在线约会网站个人简介或者是整个国家的匿名健康记录，利用对这些原始数据进行解码的计算能力，人们可以获得数不胜数的有价值的见解。甚至连奥巴马ZF也已经赶上了这股潮流，并在5月9日向企业家、研究人员和公众“破天荒”发布了大量“以前难以获取或难以管理的数据”。


软件只是帮助我们完成任务的工具。并不是我们只要学好的软件操作就能很好地完成任务，因为与操作相比，如何解释最后的结果要重要的多。即使软件操作的再熟，如果看不懂结果，那跟不会才做没有两样。

当前社会经历的过程就是数据化的过程，并且衣食住行都在逐步数据化。服装品牌公司为了描述自己的服装而花费巨大，设计师、模特、灯光、摄影、后期处理、文案表述、数据库、反馈下信息等等。人们出行需要依赖数据表达的地图，寻找餐馆银行需要依靠数据建立的地图模型。公司决定策略需要详尽的市场描述，收集巨量的数据模拟的模型。借助于物联网以及个人设备；数据已经成为一种常态出现在生活中，或许很多人没意识到而已。而意识到的人就在努力掘金。


在当今网络时代，我们每天都要同各种各样的数据打交道，我们自己也成为数据的一部分。不论我们想不想与大数据联系到一起，数据都会找到我们、覆盖我们，大数据时代已经来临。大数据正把我们变成新的物种。首先，大数据改变了我们的思维方式，让我们从因果关系的串联思维变成了相关关系的并联思维;其次，大数据改变了我们的生产方式，信息产品的加工将成为主要的生产活动;最后，大数据改变了我们的生活方式，我们的精神世界同物质世界一样将构建在大数据之上。


数据价值是由业务目标所决定的，当你的数据分析团队，知道什么因素影响你的业务成功？什么会提高收入和节约成本？那么你就能从小的数据中获取价值，只有当一个企业在小数据中获得有价值的信息后，我们才能去处理好大数据并且从中获取更高的价值。

大数据不是越大越好，大数据分析有三个原则：第一，简单，分析出来的结果必须非常非常简单，没有任何花哨的东西，任何人都能够看明白看懂。第二，迅速，分析速度越慢接受度越低，越快接受度越高。第三，规模化，希望公司内部所有的员工每一个人都能够用数据来分析帮他们做决策，很快的做决策。

一个合格的数据分析从业者，需要对自己的分析和结果负责，不能下结论的情况下，不要妄下定论，更不能有意扭曲事实。同时还要不断充实数据分析方面的知识技能，尽量避免出现无意识的错误。
