一、代表人物
1、约翰·穆迪John Moody
约翰·穆迪(1868-1958)是大名鼎鼎的评级机构——穆迪公司的创始人,他是财务分析的先驱之一,在1912年出版了《如何分析铁路报告》(How to analyze railroad reports)。
2、彼得• R• 伊尔宁(Peter R. Earling)
彼得• R• 伊尔宁是财务报表分析的先驱之一,著有《应该信任谁?——商业信用实务》(Whom to trust: a practical treatise on mercantile credits)(Chicago, Rand, McNally & Co., 1890.)。他研究了资产计价问题,承认了行业间财务数据的差异,阐明了资产、负债以及净资产之间的联系或比例关系。
3、詹姆斯• G •坎农(James G. Cannon)
詹姆斯• G •坎农(James G. Cannon)(1858-1916),是美国19世纪末20世纪初银行界的关键人物,曾任纽约第四国民银行的总裁,极力推动美国财务报表格式的统一,并筹划成立了美国第一个银行信贷部。曾著有《货币清算所》(Clearing houses,专著)、《银行信用》(Bank Credits,文章)。
4、亚历山大• 沃尔(Alexander Wall)
亚历山大• 沃尔(Alexander Wall,1879—1957),男,美国人,银行家、信用分析与财务分析专家。他是有百年历史的美国风险管理协会(Risk Management Association,简称RMA)的创始人、资深秘书长和财务主管,是“信用能力指数”概念的提出者,其创立的沃尔评分法是财务分析的主要方法之一,该方法在今天仍得到广泛的应用。
5、其他
该领域的其他代表人物还有James H. Bliss(1889—?)、Roy A. Foulke(1897—1998)、James O. Horrigan(1930—2011)、Charles H. Gibson(1939—)等。
