To pass 3/MLC，how many hours of studying is needed?

如果有时间，当然是多多益善了

如果是精算学位出来的，并且已经在学校学过了，那么50小时足矣。毕竟学的就是那门考试。如果是像经济，金融出来的。200个小时是很正常的。如果是数学背景的100-150应该是可以接受的。我是经济学背景的。我5月的时候考了一次，没有过，原因就是复习时间太少。

According to somebody told me that, it will takes about the 100*exam time, so that would be 300 hours.

200+才可以，我5月没考过。

200+小时吧。。包括从不懂学到懂。然后狂做manual

It seems that most people believe 200 hours of studying time should be sufficient

And if one is in college and study 2 hours a day for MLC, he/she needs less than two month to fully prepare - of course with a certain quantitative background.
