Short-term rates have meanwhile, held steady or risen, as Chinese authorities have tried to make it harder for speculators to borrow money for short periods to fund their investments.

The result has been what bond-market participants call a flattening of the yield curve, with the gap between short and long term interest rates narrowing.

It is opposite from what is happening in other major economies including the U.S., Europe and Japan, where a combination of central bank policies and expectations that inflation could start to creep higher have let to a selloff of long-dated government debt in recent weeks.

这两天人民币-港币汇率终于开始有所回升，不知是不是此利率调整的结果。前天的人民币-港币汇率一度逼近 1:1.15, 在岸人民币甚至偶有跌落1.15到1.147. 这让我等港漂上学党连饭都要吃不起了。不过短期利率上调，对短期投资的影响也应该是较大的，虽然从一定程度上减少了投机者，但也可能把好的短期项目的投资成本增加，不晓得利弊几何啊...

reding two hours about M&A valuation yesterday totalling 46 hours.

when a company has a large amount of net operating loss, we can do discount cash flow normally with margin tax rate. then we set up a worksheet to offset each years tax and get the current value of the NOL and add back to the dcf value. ( pay attention the tax benefits rules according to GAAP).
