Asia stands out
What can long run growth expectations tell us? We collate a set of long run growth forecasts and extract key areas of uncertainty. Consistent with recent history, Asia stands out as a region of relatively strong growth. Within Asia ex-China the fastest growing mainstream economies are expected to be India, Philippines and Indonesia. That's due both to faster working age population growth and high expected labour productivity growth. What could cause a shift in these growth expectations?
