  2. Graphs are an intuitive way to model complex relationships
  3. between real-world data objects. Thus, graph analytics
  4. plays an important role in research and industry. As
  5. graphs often reflect heterogeneous domain data, their representation
  6. requires an expressive data model including the abstraction
  7. of graph collections, for example, to analyze communities
  8. inside a social network. Further on, answering complex
  9. analytical questions about such graphs entails combining
  10. multiple analytical operations. To satisfy these requirements,
  11. we propose the Extended Property Graph Model,
  12. which is semantically rich, schema-free and supports multiple
  13. distinct graphs. Based on this representation, it provides
  14. declarative and combinable operators to analyze both single
  15. graphs and graph collections. Our current implementation is
  16. based on the distributed dataflow framework Apache Flink.
  17. We present the results of a first experimental study showing
  18. the scalability of our implementation on social network data
  19. with up to 11 billion edges.
