The methods of experimentaleconomics have been becoming more and more widely used in the research ofeconomics, business and other social science fields. In order to fostercommunication about the state-of-the-art research among scholars in or usingexperimental economics, we are pleased to announce 2017 Beijing NormalUniversity Conference on Experimental Economics, which will be held fromOctober 14th - 15th, 2017, at Beijing Normal University in Beijing, China.
We invite scholars to submittheir work based on experiments of human subjects (either in the lab or in thefield). We are particularly interested in the interesting research thatinteracts with one or more of the following fields: economic theory,development, labor, game theory, finance, marketing, education, politicalscience and public policy. We are interested in receiving submission thateither speaks to the implications of important economic theory or deepens oursubstantive knowledge about a particular developing country such as China.
It is our great honor to haveProfessor Marie Claire Villeval (University of Lyon II) as the distinguishedkeynote speaker for this year’s conference. Professor Villeval has publishedextensively in the top journals such as Science, American Economic Review,Management Science. She also serves as Co-Editor of the Journal of EconomicBehavior and Organization, Associate Editor of Management Science, ExperimentalEconomics, Journal of the Economic Science Association, Journal ofNeurosciences, Psychology and Economics, Journal of Public Economic Theory,Australian Journal of Labour Economics.
The conference last year(December 24th-25th) was successfully held. Nearly 50 scholars from theUniversity of Michigan, University of Bonn, Monash University, NationalUniversity of Singapore, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China,Zhejiang University, Beijing Normal University and other universitiesparticipated in the conference and presented their papers. In the specialsection of the paper evaluation arranged by the conference, the participantscarried out in-depth exchanges of the displayed papers in a lively atmosphere.For more details about the conference program last year, please seehttp://bs.bnu.edu.cn/zytzyyg/138385.html.
PaperSubmission and Registration
Scholars who would like topresent their work at the conference are invited to submit an abstract (notexceeding 250 words, including title and co-authors) toeconomic.lab@bnu.edu.cn. Please note that all submissions should be in English;each participant will be limited to present one paper. *The submission deadlineis July 15th, 2017*. Decisions of acceptance will be announced by August 5th,2017. The tentative program will be announced no later than late September. Theregistration fee is 500 CNY or 80 USD and beverage and meals will be providedduring the Conference.
