诺曼·珀尔斯坦先生是全球最大财经资讯公司—美国彭博资讯公司的首席内容官。彭博公司今年10月收购《商业周刊》后,珀尔斯坦同时任该杂志的董事主席。2008年6月加入彭博公司前,他效力于全球最大的私人股权投资基金之一—美国凯雷投资集团,任高级顾问。1995年至2005年,他担任美国时代华纳集团旗下出版公司的总编,掌管包括《财富》、《时代周刊》、《人物》等在内的154份杂志。1968年至1992年,珀尔斯坦在《华尔街日报》工作,从事新闻报道和编辑工作,期间有两年担任《福布斯》杂志的执行编辑。
Norman Pearlstine joined Bloomberg L.P. in June 2008 as Chief Content Officer. He was appointed Chairman of Bloomberg-BusinessWeek in mid October after the announcement of Bloomberg's acquisition of the BusinessWeek franchise from McGraw-Hill.
Prior to joining Bloomberg, Pearlstine was a Senior Advisor to The Carlyle Group’s telecommunications and media group in New York. He was editor-in-chief of Time Inc. from 1995 through 2005 before becoming a Senior Advisor to Time Warner. At Time Inc. Pearlstine oversaw the editorial content of Time Inc.’s 154 magazines, including Time, Fortune, People, Entertainment Weekly, In Style, Money, etc. Pearlstine worked for the Wall Street Journal from 1968 to 1992, except for a two-year period, 1978-1980, when he was an executive editor of Forbes magazine. In January 2005, the American Society of Magazine Editors named Pearlstine the recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award.
