Thisbook presents topics in applied dynamic macrotheory for closed andopeneconomies. The authors give an advanced treatment ofmacroeconomictopics such as the Phillips curve, forward and backwardlookingbehavior, open economy macrodynamics, structuralmacroeconometric modelbuilding as well as the empirics of Keynesianoriented macro models.They start from the closed economy and consideropen economies forfixed and flexible exchange rate systems with freeinternationalcapital flows later on. It is compared to New Keynesian approacheswhich aregenerally rigorously microfounded, but often neglect tostudymacroeconomic feedback mechanisms (that may be stabilizingordestabilizing).
