Ministers should significantly ease restrictions on the right of international students to work in the UK after they have completed their studies, a key advisory body has recommended.
In a report expected to play a crucial role in shaping government policy on migration for higher education, the Migration Advisory Committee also rejected calls for international students to be excluded from the government’s net migration target of below 100,000, disappointing many in the sector.
