Dear Ms. Li:
The Graduate Admissions Committee of our Department has processed your application for admission to our M.S. program. I am pleased to inform you that, at the recommendation of said Committee, the Department is recommending Conditional Admission to the M.S. program for the Fall 2010 semester.
· Proof of B.A. or B.S. degree- A condition of acceptance as a matriculating graduate student is that you complete a B.A. (or B.S.) degree before the start of classes at the University at Buffalo. Therefore, your admission is provisional, pending receipt of final transcripts and degree conferral proof.
· Confirm where you want I-20 sent – Please let the Assistant Director which address you wish to have the I-20 sent. Please e-mail him directly so we can begin processing your I-20.
In addition, please visit our website for new graduate students for registration and other information: http://www.economics.buffalo.edu/graduate/accepted/international/
If you have not submitted your final transcripts with proof of degree conferral, please submit this to your academic department before October 1 if you have been admitted for fall, or, by March 1, if you have been admitted for spring. Without such proof, you may not be able to register for classes during the second semester and completed graduate coursework may not count toward the degree.
The Graduate School website, http://www.grad.buffalo.edu, contains a variety of useful information, tools and resources for new and continuing graduate students at UB. I especially encourage you to familiarize yourself with the institutional policies and procedures on our website that pertain to graduate study. I also invite you to examine the "New UB Graduate Student Checklist", which contains vital information regarding course registration procedures and other important university information by visiting: www.grad.buffalo.edu/admissions/newgradstudents.php
Please notify us via e-mail at ecoma@buffalo.edu as soon as possible with your decision on enrolling for Fall 2010 or return a copy of this letter.
______ I wish to accept this offer for Fall 2010.
