That was not a result of the US official policies to deliberately to make the $US stronger.
It was the world markets and the main participants who made it happen.
In the past, I was puzzled by that phenomenon. But market commentators and economists say it is due to people's risk behaviour:
when the world risks are rising, people go to safe heaven currencies and assets, like the $US, Japanese Yen and US Treasury bonds, etc;
and vice versa.
So it was unlikely to be a conspiracy by the US at all.
As a result, we should not be making up stories that people will laugh at.
