如果中国清醒了那就是世界第一强国，问题是这个民族的根性容不得它清醒。

是应当清醒了。
对于还相信GDP的人，看看Kuznets本人是如何说的，恐怕会很有帮助：
"The statistician who supposes that he can make a purely objective estimate of national income, not influenced by preconceptions concerning the "facts," is deluding himself; for whenever he includes one item or excludes another he is implicitly accepting some standard of judgement, his own or that of the compiler of the data. There is no escaping this subjective element." (Kuznets, National Income and its Composition, 1919–1938, NBER, 1941.)
事实上，试图以货币来衡量所谓“国民财富”，无异缘木求鱼，当然，这种说法也有问题，因为，恐怕根本就没有“鱼”。正如Mises所言，"The attempts to determine in money the wealth of a nation or of the whole of mankind are as childish as the mystic efforts to solve the riddles of the universe by worrying about the dimensions of the pyramid of Cheops."

很多事情，在这上网的人可能已经明白了，但是这些思想的扩散是一个相当漫长的过程，所以“中国的清醒”可能还需要一段时间

宋朝人均GDP达2280美元，整个宋朝占世界的GDP的65%，北宋80%，南宋50%，是中国历史最富有的朝代。而谁敢说宋朝时中国强大？

语文不及格。是说不要只关注GDP的数字，而是要更多地关注经济发展的质量和人民的福祉。又不是不发展经济。
