达龙·阿西莫格鲁(Daron Acemoglu)，1967年出生，土耳其人，1992年获得伦敦政治经济学院经济学博士学位。2005年4月获得被誉为经济学界“小诺贝尔奖”的约翰·贝茨·克拉克奖，现为麻省理工经济学教授。
他在经济学的很多领域都作出了突出贡献，范围包括早期的劳动经济学，而后成功转向宏观经济学和制度经济学以及政治经济学。他在制度演进与政治经济学方面的研究是创新型的，并已经对这些领域的研究产生了很大影响。虽然他首先是一个理论家，但他的研究往往为真实世界所驱动，而其引子则来源于诸多现有的经济学理论与其对应的真实世界的运行方式之间所存在的不调和性。
