I worked in the private bank center of a national US bank last year. The CFA candidates at level I purchased textbooks as well as notes (and other prep materials) from Shulman, Schweser, Stalla, JKE, and Allen Resources. We shared (loaned not copied) the materials among ourselves. Between January and June we used our lunch hours to collectively watch both the Allen and Schweser videos as well. We devoted several Saturdays to collectively working problems and practice questions. For the most part this library approach to sharing study materials and working together as a team to prepare for the exam worked very well with 6 of the 8 in our group passing the exam (by the way this was participant initiated as we each had many common interests and socialized outside the office). Having SEEN AND USED the materials I would offer the following ranking:

1. TEXTBOOKS
2. SHULMAN
3. SCHWESER
4. JKE
5. STALLA
6. ALLEN RESOURCES
