这帖子里的的高票回答跟4楼关于estimator or estimate是变量的说法有出入，其余地方基本一致。
"The estimator itself is not a random variable: it's just a mathematical function. However, the estimate it produces is based on data which themselves are modeled as random variables. "

但estimate理应是特定数值，为什么are modeled as random variables呢？

Estimators are the formulae used to calculate the coefficients – for example, the expressions given in (3.4) and (3.5) above, while the estimates, on the other hand, are the actual numerical values for the coefficients that are obtained from the sample.
estimator 是估计式，用来计算系数的estimates（估计值）

estimate，估计值，是根据样本和estimator计算出来的
对于不同的样本，计算出的estimate是不一样的
