1. Of course, the academic is NOT the only placement for a PhD, but a large proportion of PhDs did end up with academic careers. The revealed preferences of PhD candidates vary from person to person. Most PhD programmes are targeted for academics, not tailored for IB.

2. Except for a few roles/positions, such as quants (rocket scientists), a Bachelor or Master is enough for IB. Also, PhDs might be perceived to be "over-qualified".

Totally agree!!!!

To get into IB, I believe degree, skills, talents is more important because most of the applicants don't have any relationship with the MDs or EDs. In addition, social networking with the management is also one of your skills.

国外很多厉害的博士首选一般都是高校和科研机构吧

美国高校的研究情况和国内很大差距的 不要看小看进高校啊

不知道海龟的真实水平

之前还考虑是去国外继续读个硕士还是再往上来个博士，看来以就业为导向的读博（赌博）确实需要改变~
