The Costs of Inflation Revisited如下市传统看法，我们尽量避开这些已有的逻辑，把讨论的重点放在交易费用、价格信号等方面。
1.皮鞋成本：通货膨胀时人们减少货币持有量浪费的资源。
2.菜单成本：通货膨胀时改变价格的成本。
3.扭曲消费者决策,相对价格变动与资源配置失误。
4.通货膨胀引起的税收扭曲：税收未考虑实际利率的改变。
5.通货膨胀侵蚀了计价单位的实际价值，造成混乱和不方便。
6.通货膨胀使得财富任意再分配：预期利息不变，由于通胀使得实际利率改变了，货币价值也改变了。

此文从比较制度、公共选择与新制度经济学的视角来解释通货膨胀的成本。
注意这里的成本有别于马歇尔的成本理论，是奥地利经济学派和边际主义者一贯主张的机会成本。

The paper suggests that the costs of inflation may be much greater,and longer term, than those captured in standard institutionless analyses.

The rising price level creates four potential problems in the standard analysis, the severity of which will depend largely on whether the inflation is anticipated or not. In discussing the four problems below, we will assume the inflation is unanticipated.

4# dongjinpeng 1里面的这个banking cost很新颖啊，新古典经济学没有考虑到，其实我们把时间拉得长一点，观察银行的活动，这个就很明显了，还有银行工作的童鞋应该感受深刻。
