This article talked about a political economics issue: what's the role the goverment should perform? As the author mentioned, it protects property, the environment, cival rights... In the "property" section of economics textbook, that's all of it. But in the real world, it is the economy's boss--there is hardly a totally pure market economy in the world.
Uncertainty reminds me of the  policy volatility  our goverment and central bank make. Some scholars pointed out that keeping stable is also a policy. Frequently adjustment is not a good idea in most situations.

看得出来，楼主在选文章方面真的很用心。不仅轮番换各种popular的主题。而且还更换文章形式。今天这篇与其说是a news or an article, 不如说是 a story. 读得很舒服，而且所有作者的观点都在这娓娓道来的故事中表达出来了。而且一点儿也不强硬，让人有很多思考的余地和空间。very very good piece.

About the article,  I like this sentence the most,   “Government should act like my assistant, not my boss.” . I think this could apply  to any Government in the world, including Chinese. 用中国的老话就是，国家以及国家领导人应该是人民的公仆。而不是要做人民的“地主”。

这篇文章放到中国估计要被和谐了 嘿嘿  确实  中国ZF有些过度的干预了经济的正常运作，企业拿着国家的话当圣旨，听风就是雨的，再加上投机取巧的大多数人都喜欢跟风，造成了损失的巨大。“Government should act like my assistant, not my boss   很现实，精辟的一句话

This paper raised a long debated issue, to what extent should the Govn intervene with the markets. History showed that sometimes one may play a bigger role than the other, but didn't mention to what extent. People say market creates weath while the Govn collents and redistributes the wealth on the strength of power to a more balanced level. Stories happened everyday, but the endings were quite different between the west and east, qustion is what we need to do if we happened to find the source of the problem~~
PS: LZ的提议非常的好，尤其是针对目前坛子大部分在校生，然后对于一些在职人员来说，还是比较辛苦的？是不是有可能把每天工作下班之时把第二天的文章公布出来，回帖的时间则不会设上限制，大家只需把回复回在当天的贴上即可，这样的话可以给在职人员多一些准备时间

嗯，我是坚持下来每天必看并努力用英文表达出我的意思…从第一开始的无比艰难到如今的还算可以以及今后可以想象得到的信手拈来，这里绝对有版主你功不可没的贡献！包括前天一整天的考试我都还要坚持把Follow Me认真读一读，我还是感到很欣慰的…
本次改版，看得出来版主你是花了一番心思的，但我是个备战考研的人，每天也只是用手机上网很少开电脑的，所以感觉这次改动对我个人而言还是有点小麻烦的，但更多的还是收获。我仍然会坚持阅读的，会努力用英文回复的，会全力支持Follow Me和论坛其他活动的！今天的Follow Me还没看，就是刚读了版主的文字忽然很感慨，总之，多谢人大经济论坛，多谢版主！
