You can save xls file as csv file so that you can deal with over 100 thousand  observations

当然，只要你成批的变量名和新的label的其他格式数据都行，参照上面很easy。

如果要修改的变量名和label已经存在于某个数据文件temp中，假设相应的变量为name和label，可用下面的方法：
proc sql;
select strip(name)||'='||quote(strip(label)) into :labvar separated by '   '
from temp;
quit;

data aa;
set aa;
label &labvar;
run;
